In the crowded retail space, creating a memorable brand experience is essential. Rocketfuel helped Jekyll & Hide (J&H), a luxury accessory brand, carve out this edge by transforming their logo into an iconic 3D shape that’s woven into all merchandising display systems. This shape embodies J&H’s unique design language, drawing in shoppers with a sophisticated, high-quality feel.
The Challenge J&H owner Bernard Bultemeier, known for crafting premium leather accessories, sought to expand his market by attracting new customers. To achieve this, he needed displays that would elevate the shopper experience while highlighting J&H’s fine craftsmanship.
Rocketfuel’s Approach To design displays that enrich the in-store journey, Rocketfuel applied journey mapping to create a heat map of high-impact touchpoints. This analysis revealed prime opportunities to improve both product visibility and customer engagement.
Design Enhancements
Functionality: Displays were engineered for maximum product visibility, using a “stadium effect” for wallet displays that positions each item at a customer-facing angle.
User-Centered Design: An adjustable belt display lets shoppers easily view belts as they’d appear when worn, enhancing customer interaction.
Materials & Manufacturing: Selected materials, including premium hardwood veneers, powder-coated steel, and laser-cut perspex, align with J&H’s textured leathers while blending seamlessly with the store’s industrial-chic ambiance.
Innovation: Rocketfuel deconstructed J&H’s logo into a distinctive hexagonal motif, giving the brand a recognizable shape that becomes a unique, cohesive design element across the store.
The result?
A new level of sophistication and engagement for J&H, enhancing both the customer experience and brand perception.
