Rocketfuel rebrands SA’s favorite luxury cycling store and opens to a 33% rise in sales. In a city that hosts the southern hemisphere’s most popular cycle race, there’s no shortage of cycling stores. John O’Connor wanted to offer a unique experience to their customers. Founder Rob Grey’s obsession with cycling, meant no hill would be too steep for this ride. John O’Connor needed a brand identity that aligned with the vibe he wanted to create for cyclists in his store. Rob worked closely with John to design and bring to life a diverse range of brand elements that translated across fabric, cement, glass and wood. Our spatial design and mechanical engineering team created a space that seamlessly integrated workshop mechanics and the customer. The result was a brand that represented the feeling of that special ride, and one their local and international customers would want to take back home with them. JOC saw an increase in sales of over 33% in their first week of opening. Rocketfuel is especially grateful to Rob for the ‘quality testing’ he is currently still running on the JOC limited edition apparel.
